MAAL Biutiful Malbec 2014
Gorgeous Malbec from Argentina. No oak to confuse things, just pure, refined deliciousness
When I travelled through Argentina a few years ago, I fell head over heels in love with Malbec. Returning to the UK and frequently buying big, oaky styles of Malbec that are the norm over here, I quickly fell head over heels out of love for it. This is the sort of Malbec I fell in love with. Still deep and dark, but fresh and fragrant with pure black fruits providing the main focus. Delicious to drink a glass and then another glass, oh and maybe one more. Get some decent steaks for that BBQ….

Deep, intensely flavoured reds such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbecs.
At its best
Too warm as the brilliant aromatics will be muffled, nice cool room temperature should be perfect.
It will suit bold red meats and will obviously love anything with a bit of charring to it. Very approachable wine though so food not absolutely required, it’s a very elegant take on Malbec.
