Juian Forewood and Bernice Ong are corporate wine defectors. Many years of working for the big players in the Australian wine market has given them knowledge of and access to, some of the best fruit grown in Australia’s premium wine regions. Under their Ministry of Clouds label, they are crafting some truly brilliant wines and this Riesling is a knockout. It sits at the crystalline, pure and piercing end of the Riesling spectrum. A huge hit of crisp citrus (high acidity but balanced with perfectly ripe fruit) hits you first and then a clean cut, laser like finish. It’s extremely classy and is sure to be a wine to age nicely too.

You might like this if you like...

Fresh, crisp and clean dry whites. Whites that almost make your mouth jingle jangle with their acidity. A dry German Riesling from a really good site is the best comparison.

At its best

Serve nicely cold but don’t be afraid to let it come up in temperature a bit in your glass, it will give away a good bit more of its delicious ripe fruit flavours as it does.

Food matching

A superb aperitif wine. It will also match nicely with a sliver of smoked salmon. Also a very good friend with Asian inspired dishes.
